Applicant/Vendor requirements:
1. Certificate of Insurance
A certificate of insurance (COI) that has $1 million commercial general liability with a $2 million aggregate limit and lists the certificate holder and as additional insured as:

2. Food Vendor – Board of Health Permit July 1 – June 30
3. Seasonal – Required for Outdoor only: Open-Air Permit July 1 – June 30
If you SELL any products and you plan to vend at an OUTDOOR market (seasonal – summer) you will need to apply for an Open-Air Permit with the City of Holyoke. The Open-Air Permit process MAY take up to 6 weeks after submittal of application.
Applications are reviewed monthly at the License Board meeting typically held the first Wednesday of each Month.
Application intake closes the previous Friday to ensure time for processing.
Annual Permit $100 July 1 – June 30, Temporary Permit $30 1 event (eg: 4 day festival, one Farmers’ Market)

Due Date: All insurance certificates must be submitted 2 weeks prior to your first scheduled market as all insurance will need to be approved by HFM management prior to participation.
***If you are planning to participate in our Summer Market
please start this process in March to be sure to have your Open-Air Permit
in place before our first outdoor market in June.***
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR FOOD TRUCKS, PREPARED FOOD VENDORS AND FARMS WITH PREPARED FOOD:
Food trucks, and food vendors must also have proper permit in place from the Holyoke Board of Health (BOH).
NOTE: All Holyoke Retail Food & Food Service Establishments Permits Renewals are due June 30 of each year, so you may have one in place but it expires soon.
Please email a copy of your food permit from the Holyoke Board of Health, and a copy of your current certificate of insurance to holyokefarmersmarket@gmail.com. Food trucks will not be allowed to participate without prior approval and confirmation of receiving these documents. Please complete the applications found at the BOH Permits website to obtain your proper permit from the BOH.

HIP allows SNAP users FREE money to use at farmers markets on fresh produce. Our farmers and staff are well-educated in this program and are happy to help you!

Holyoke Farmers Market has funded its loyalty card program with the assistance of Greenfield Cooperative Bank and Holyoke Medical Center. Marketgoers will receive one punch per household per day after a purchase. After 10 punches the card can be redeemed for a $10 voucher, while supplies last.
